Background:
Worked with a US based multi-national technology company to design and implement a global inclusion and diversity strategy that would be relevant in all of the company's worldwide locations.
Strategy Implemented:
After meeting with senior management and with regional country managers to understand local needs and expectations, developed a customized business focused action plan which included developing local site diversity councils in 14 countries around the world. Worked with each council to develop site specific inclusion and diversity vision, mission and goals as well as hold site-wide diversity kick-off events. Each site focused on local diversity issues (gender, regionalism, work styles, ageism, work-life, etc).
Results:
Retention rates at sites with Inclusion and Diversity Councils improved by an average of 12% compared to sites without councils. Engagement survey results improved 10%. Seven (7) global sites with councils made the Best Place to Work Lists for the first time in their designated countries.
